Are you conserving water in your home? Do you want to conserve water; you can. There are many ways you can conserve water. Did you know that 40% of the water in home use is used outside the home? Did you know that your lawn only needs water to penetrate 2 inches deep, as that is as far as the roots go anyway? Did you know that 80% of the plants in the average American yard are over watered and that it is actually not good for them?
We can all conserve water outside the home and probably save as much as half the water we use outside. This means if 40% of the water is used outside the home and you saved half you have saved 20% of your household water usage and I am sure as you save money on the water you can use this for other important family needs?
Well there are other ways to save water outside the home, for instance while washing your car you can use a shut off nozzle. You see if you let the water run out the hose while you wash your car for 30 minutes your garden hose puts out 8-10 gallons per minute and that is 240 to 300 gallons you just wasted. Even if you run it on the lawn you are wasting, remember only the first 2 inches under the surface is needed for the roots of the grass. Won’t you please join us and save water. Everyone one benefits when we conserve and if we all do a little, we will all save a lot. Think on this.
